Join award winning travel and astro photographer Sean Parker on Madeline Island and spend five days capturing the beauty of the Island and the Apostle Islands National Lakeshore under the dark night sky. The region is known for being one of the darkest spots in North America.
Sean’s workshop will include a boat cruise on Lake Superior to the infamous Apostle Islands for sunset shots of the sea caves and night sky shots of the Milky Way with the historical Devil’s Island Lighthouse, star trails, and if we are lucky... the Northern lights!
Just a mile from the MISA campus, Big Bay State Park’s 2-mile half moon shaped beach and the nearby lagoon will provide incredible opportunities for panoramic shots at night.
Spend time in the studio learning how to prepare for your shoot, camera settings and overview, milkyway photography, light painting, startrails, lightroom post processing, and more with Sean on MISA’s pristine campus!
The island is a beautiful area to capture sunrise photos of the Apostle Islands and then enjoy an authentic farm to table breakfast.
This workshop is designed to take your skills to the next level in an enjoyable and relaxing atmosphere.
