Mike Daikubara, an artist, author, designer, and educator from Charlotte, North Carolina, started sketching daily in 2000 to visually communicate more effectively and efficiently in his design job. This habit evolved into a deep passion for sketching, helping him see, understand and enjoy life. He has authored 10 books on Urban Sketching, including “Sketch NOW think Later” and “Color First Ink Later” published by Quarto. Mike has taught Urban Sketching to hundreds of students locally and internationally, including at three Urban Sketchers International symposiums in Manchester, Porto, and Chicago. In Charlotte, he continues to teach at Central Piedmont Community College (CPCC).
