David’s transparent and gouache watercolor workshop covers using transparent and opaque watercolor gouache together. Students learn about traditional watercolors and how to use them together with many different types of techniques. There will be times we use the gouache in a transparent watercolor way and at times we will be using it like you would use oils and acrylics. Painting surfaces will include watercolor paper, Yupo paper, canvas panels and black watercolor paper. You will learn how to use the mediums together to create a different type of style and technique. It is like two classes in one.

Each day we start a new exercise. Each class and exercise builds on the previous assignment which helps you learn all that David wants you to take away from this class.

David will be providing all the supplies for this workshop including everything. If you wish to bring your own favorite brushes, paint or any art supplies that is fine with me but I will still have everything available for you to use.
