Jason Weingart is a professional photographer and storm chaser known for capturing nature’s most powerful and awe-inspiring moments, from severe storms to the beauty of the night sky. Growing up in Northeast Ohio, Jason developed a fascination with weather at an early age, inspired by a childhood love of storms and tornadoes.

In 2012, Jason earned a Bachelor of Science in Photography from the University of Central Florida. While he began with sports photography, his passion for storm chasing and astrophotography soon took center stage. He captured his first lightning photo in 2009, and since then, his portfolio has expanded to include breathtaking images of storms, stars, and celestial events.

Now based in Austin, Texas, Jason runs photography workshops with his wife and creative partner, Savannah, a talented photographer and storm chaser. Together, they provide immersive experiences that teach guests to capture storms, night skies, and landscapes while embracing the thrill of adventure.

When he’s not chasing storms or photographing the stars, Jason enjoys mentoring photographers and exploring new horizons under the ever-changing skies.
