Nina Johansson, an illustrator and art teacher from Stockholm, Sweden, is a dedicated on-location sketcher with a penchant for capturing everyday life in urban environments. In her workshop, “Everyday Life in a Lakeside Town,” Nina focuses on sketching scenes and life in Bayfield, with the lake as the central theme. Participants will learn techniques to convey perspective without construction, work from big shapes to smaller details, and create well-composed sketches. The workshop begins with a studio session, followed by a sketching session in Bayfield where participants will explore streets, buildings, lake views, and boats. Nina provides individual support and facilitates group discussions, allowing participants to refine their skills and gain insights into capturing the essence of everyday life through their sketches.
