About This Workshop
First, we will demystify the concepts of perspective. You’ll finally learn how perspective works…what to look for, and how to find that darn vanishing point! This is not abstract boxes on a table but real world perspective taught through carefully crafted PowerPoint lessons—you’ll learn what to do when you want to sketch a room, a street, a building, and more. And second, as an experienced architectural illustrator, Stephanie will teach you and share her watercolor techniques and tips using a classic, limited palette that is perfect for painting architecture.
What makes this course at MISA unique? It combines both working indoors in the studio AND working outdoors on location like an urban sketcher. It’s the best of both worlds. Picture yourself with your paints on the stunning Northern California coast or sitting with your sketchbook at the beautiful 1770’a Carmel Mission Museum and finally understanding how to capture the scene in front of you.
